Child safety

Safeguarding

Built around child safety, not retrofitted to it.

Our position

Entrants can be 13. These controls live in the database, not in a policy document — which means they can't be quietly relaxed by anyone, including us.

What we've removed entirely

Most services allow anything and employ moderators to clean up after the harm. Here there's nothing to moderate on the public surface, because nothing hostile can be written.

Keeping adults and children apart

Nobody can find a child on another app through us. Players can link Instagram, TikTok or Snapchat — but the handle is never shown to anyone else. You see the platform name, and you can only open the link if you're the same side of 18.

It works both ways, which protects adults from an accusation as much as it protects children.

Every under-18 entry is reviewed by a person

Never automatically approved. That is a database constraint, not a policy — it cannot be switched off.

How uploads are screened

Quarantine → malware scan → location data stripped → hash matching against known illegal material → automated classification → rules → human review.

A hash match is referred to the authorities and is never viewed by our staff. Only content that is probably lawful ever reaches a human.

Guardian consent

A 13-year-old can join, watch, judge, play fantasy and climb the boards on their own.

A parent or guardian must agree before a child can upload a video, go public, call someone out, add social links, or claim a prize over £50.

The guardian can see what their child enters and remove them at any time.

We ask for this for everyone under 18, everywhere — even where local law would allow less.

Challenge safety

Every challenge is reviewed by a named person before publication, against a written checklist including whether failing it is also safe. Physical risk, legal risk, substances or humiliation mean automatic rejection.

Our safeguarding lead

We have a named Designated Safeguarding Lead, trained to Level 3 with an Enhanced DBS check, with authority to act without asking us first.

Reporting

Report on any surface, one tap, no explanation needed. Decisions are permanent and carry a written reason. You can appeal to a person.

Safeguarding reports skip the queue entirely.

What we publish

We publish our risk assessments and this policy openly. Most services don't. We think being honest about risk is more useful to a parent than claiming there isn't any.

For parents

If your child is on here and you want to know what that means, or you want them removed, email safeguarding@anything4clout.com. We'll answer in plain English and we won't make it difficult.
